Please keep cougar time. Its a great way to get homework done and meet with friends whl you have no classes with.

Cougar time is a good thing to have during the school day. It helps students get homework done, socialize/take breaks, and take tests they either missed, or didn’t do well on. Therefore cougar time should stay in the OHS schedule.

I can't believe that this is happening. Not all the teachers can come in early or stay after school for retakes and makeups. Also there are people with ADHD who need extra time finishing their test. The school promised to create a stress and anxiety free environment and guess what getting rid of it will make it worse. The student athletes will struggle to complete their assignments. There are some students who can't go somewhere to do group projects because they don't have a ride or family issues.

I agree with the administrators thatit is a problem that people aren't doing work during cougar time, but a return period is not the way to fix this. Classes like AP Calculus BC frequently hold review sessions during cougar time, and many third-period classes hold tests through cougar time in order to avoid splitting tests up. The center's Travel Tutoring program would also be effectively destroyed, as it relies on students going to different cougar times to tutor their peers. And what exactly would a return period even accomplish? This change is pointless and should be reverted.
