To the Owners of Star Country Cafe (and The Mercantile),
We, the undersigned members of the Star, Idaho community, are writing to express our deep disappointment and concern regarding the recent departure of Casey from her position at Star Country Cafe. For the past four plus years, Casey has been an integral and beloved part of the cafe, consistently managing the front of house with dedication and a genuine passion for creating a positive experience for everyone.
Many of us have come to know Casey as the friendly face who greets us, ensures smooth service, and fosters a truly fun, loving, and welcoming atmosphere within Star Country Cafe. She has gone above and beyond in her role, not only managing the busser and server teams effectively but also implementing initiatives that have undeniably enhanced the cafe experience for customers and contributed to increased sales through upselling opportunities and the introduction of Star Country Cafe merchandise.
Casey has cultivated a strong and loyal base of customers who appreciate her hard work and the positive energy she brings to the cafe. Her ability to create an environment that brings our community closer is a unique and invaluable asset to Star Country Cafe. We believe that while culinary skills are essential, the welcoming and community-focused atmosphere Casey has built is equally, if not more, vital to the overall success and spirit of our local establishment.
We respectfully urge the owners of Star Country Cafe, who also operate The Mercantile, to reconsider the decision regarding Casey's employment. We believe that her contributions to the atmosphere, customer experience, and even the financial well-being of the cafe are significant and irreplaceable.
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Casey be reinstated to her position at Star Country Cafe. Her presence has made a tangible positive impact on our community's experience at the cafe, and we hope you will recognize the value she brings.

I was just at the cafe this morning and it felt so weird not seeing her there (the quiet is honestly deafening right now) so I ended up talking to some regulars who are just as confused and upset as I am. I have been drafting a formal letter to the owners to explain exactly why this place feels different lately and I will hopefully have a way to get that in their hands by the weekend.

You can always replace the back of the house, but replacing the front is not smart! This will make it close very soon! I will not be back there, unless this is reversed!.
The reasoning behind this termination needs to be told...before the issue can be resolved. We've owned 4 restaurants and understand food dynamics... but you never terminate your best employee for much, other than theft
Sorry to hear of this. We don't know the circumstances but we know that Casey has been the light of the Star Cafe. She always had a smile and took the time to get to know all customers. She is the face of your brand.
Casey always has a smile and warm welcome to share. Letting her go is a tremendous misjudgment. Our Daughter worked at the cafe for a bit. Casey was a fair, kind, encouraging boss and a great mentor to her and the other employees.
She's the reason why we come to star cafe for breakfasts. She knows what we like and the concerns she has for us lately. Please, she is the only person who knows us in cafe. If you do not take her back, you will lose more customers not just us.
We miss Casey!

Casey was the first person we met when we moved here 5 years ago. (Different cafe) and when we saw she moved to Star Cafe, we saw her and she always remembered our names. Kind, compassionate , always with a smile and friendly greeting. Can’t imagine letting someone like this go.
