I didn't run XC for coach, but I took anatomy and physiology with him. I think he's the only coach who actually taught me something in a classroom and more importantly, his positive attitude and care and concern toward students is a big influence on how I Try to build relationships with my students.

Coach Barnett is what makes Luling great. He was the best teacher and coach we could have asked for in Luling. He's brought 9 state championships to our school; he should be able to teach anything he'd like wherever he'd like.

Helped me in some of the toughest times...Taught me to be a better more respectable person, and as a bonus let me be apart of 2 of our state championship teams. I really couldnt ask for more of him he deserves to coach if he wants.

Oi, Coach Barnett is a great man who has practically given his life to the community and kids in Luling. Although he regularly gets noticed for his accomplishments with the XC team, his impact extends far beyond that. Hopefully the administration can will give this a second look. Best of luck.
