Wonderful coach and teacher, he was there to help out not just through education but through life teachings too. He was one of the few teachers in luling high school that actually made a difference.

Coach Barnett was actually a mentor coach to my high school coach at Bastrop High school and helped her learn the PAAVO program so that my school could implement it. My coach and Xc changed my life, and she couldn't have done it without Coach Barnett.
Please leave Coach Barnett's talent where it belongs--at the hugg school level. I taught high school for 39 years. We have special talents with that age group & subject matter just as elementary teachers are a blessing at that level. Pardon me for asking, but when was the last time you taught in a classroom? Successful Fortune 500 company managers place people adeptly where their talents are. Stop playing Russim roulette with your teachers. It hasn't worked at all over the years. Your district's ratings demonstrate that. You're out if touch with the classroom teacher & your district's turnover rate is deplorable. Sorry this was so to the poi t, but it needs to be said for all your teachers.

Coach Barnett is such a great coach. He has done so much for the Luling schools and especially for all the runners and students he's coached and taught. He is such an inspiration and really great man. I don't think he should be let go.
