I am so disappointed this show finished after 6 episodes. I have been completely hooked and loved every minute of it. Please, please, PLEASE bring on a second series!!!

I have recently watched this series, I am only 17 , and I have very much enjoyed it. I can not believe they did not renew The Crimson Field! I would have loved to have seen more of it!

A brilliantly written drama centering around the other side of the war. Great cast and brilliant story lines. As a once medic and now commissioned officer, this series is brilliant and relative to all, particularly those in Commonwealth nations. So stupid not to renew it, raved about here in Australia. Disappointing to say the least

Please no. A badly researched programme, with more historical errors than there are grains of rice in a paddy field, with a succession of plot lines that were simply impossible in the Great War.
The series misrepresented the WW1 medical services so grossly, that I hope not only that there is no further series, but that this one is wiped from the BBC records and never repeated. If you want a soap opera there's always East Enders. Anyone who has studied the Great War at all knows that this was rubbish.
It does no credit to the men and women who served in our military medical facilities to misrepresent their efforts so grossly.
The BBC did the country a real disservice with this sloppy, inaccurate and misleading series. It is a great shame that they wasted licence payers money on such drivel.
