Sad to see this brilliant show axed. Maybe not racy enough for BBC execs or noyt appealing to the right demographic group.

I think it a shame that this was cancelled when it was doing such a great job of raising people's awareness about the plight of animals and how humans can neglect them and treat them cruelly. George wanted to broaden people's minds - something that is needed even in this so called enlightened age - he can't do that if he is off air - so please bring this marvellous show back, with its wonderful family storyline and great character actors. THank you.

Have only just watched this series and can't believe the Beeb haven't renewed it. Five million viewers a week. There are other programmes that would give their eye teeth for that. A new drama suitable for the whole family and the BBC can it. Unbelievable! Come on Auntie - do the right thing and bring it back. We want to know what happened next!

Our zoo is one of the best show on TV. It's realistic, educative, emotional. We have fallen in love with the characters (human and animal) in only 6 episodes and it would be a shame not to plan a second series. From France.

This a bad decision by the BBC. It was broadcast in the wrong time slot. It needed the Sunday evening at 8pm time slot.

best show we have seen in australia , originally from chester my dad lived behind the zoo for a while as a kid george mottershead used to chase them out of the zoo at night used to be a hole in the fence my dad says

Such a shame that no second series....really left me wanting to know how the Mottershead family got the Zoo up and running! Am sure there must be so much more to tell! Made such a change from all the crime dramas that are always on TV....please bring it back BBC!
