Bring back a school bus for Creekside neighborhood to and from Raba elementary

It is too dangerous to have children walking and crossing. I want to know if the people involved in this decision have their own children walking home from Raba.

These students and parents need a bus to pick up and drop off students.

Ridiculous that “educated” NISD employees think it’s safe for small children to be crossing westover hills.

This is absolutely ridiculous this is a very long walk for elementary kids and not safe at all hope this changes

Every child in the public school system has a RIGHT to transportation to and from school! It is unconstitutional in the sense that this is the same as denying a child the right to a public education by also denying the transportation to do so! How is this right for our children and families when many families have jobs, only car, other small children (some disabled) which make it IMPOSSIBLE to provide transportation of their own?? There is an underlying discrimination here to these students. This must change!

I understand that there may be a shortage on bus drivers at this time, but this is not a good excuse. I am more concerned for the children’s safety. And I especially feel for those parents who both have to work all day with no other option but to have their child walking home alone. There is more to consider here, this will also increase the risk of children being kidnapped, raped, getting run over, even being watched by pedafiles, etc.

Now they expect my 7 year old with special needs to walk from Ingram mall down timberhill, across the busy intersection of grissom and timberhill, up the hill of grissom road, another quarter mile after that back down the hill and across another busy intersection of grissom and shadow mist, across all the school drive ways of cars and busses exiting all 4 driveways before she would reach the long side walk of the actual school. Ps she has low tone and wouldn't even make it more than 2 houses before she'd have to rest. Texas government doesn't care about about their children. Teachers from other states always scream this when they move here. It's true.

Absolutely ridiculous.....did anyone think maybe it should be a community that does not have to cross such a dangerous intersection? Will NISD put a crossing guard at Westover Hills? Or would that be too dangerous for them??? Did NISD take into account how many children live in Creekside that will be affected??? I am a product of NISD and it has become a district that I am no longer proud to be part of.
