I wish Aldi would open in Northern Ireland soon. It would be hugely successful. Cannot believe Northern Ireland is the only area of UK and Ireland not to have Aldi. ALDI OPEN IN NORTHERN IRELAND SOON.

We need more variety in N.I. Sick of asda,Tesco, lidl and sainsburys. Bring Aldi to N.I and you will get a lot of customers. Why show your ads on N.I tv but not come here to open a shop?

Have seen ads for Stock Assistant posts for Ballymena, Bangor, Enniskillen, Lisburn & Belfast on Career Jet webpage. However, as before, I won't be holding my breath!

Further to my last message - rang ALDI and I'm afraid none of it is true. Got the same old answer - 'no, we have no plans to come to Northern Ireland'. Told them about this petition, how they would do well here, but I fear I'm wasting my energy. Thanks to everyone who signed this petition - sorry I couldn't get the required 100 signatures. Although I get the feeling that even 1,000 signatures wouldn't make any difference. Really fed up.

Thanks for tip-off - I've also noticed online ads for ALDI staff for Lisburn and Ballymena. Will ring them for confirmation - though not holding my breath!

Maybe ALDI won't want to come to NI after all - what with all the recent bad publicity re Peter Robinson and Pastor McConnell. Can't really say I blame them - totally disgusted. When will this country get the political/religious leadership it deserves?
