It’s the homes of so many minorities and you want to kick them out to build shops. You will be stopping small business and ruining lively hoods for a new shopping centre
Why change brick lane entirely, just add the white-wash shops that you need to. There's literally no point in removing the flavour of bricklane, it has so much history and is a good tourist place. I think there'd be mode downsides than improvements if we changed brick lane. The last thing we need in Brick lane is a shopping mall full of High St stores- the Truman Brewery site gives the area a point of difference and soul- unlike a large part of developed London
This is our heritage and our history that is being thoughtlessly damaged, a jewel in the ever-tarnishing crown that is London’s built and historical environment. Please think again!
Should be a conservation area not a development site! We must protect the rich and diverse culture of our city not create a monoculture.

Brick Lane is such an important place for people to find and embrace their culture and gentrifying it would destroy the beautiful mix of cultures there for everyone to love and enjoy.
