Dredging and peninsula remediation is a must. The marina entrance has been closing in with each storm.

the new management at Brick Cove is doing wonderful things to improve the marina and protect and enhance our shorelines. I support all of their initiatives and know that they will enhance the North Fork for years to come.

Hi,
It’s important that the dredging takes place before the inlet becomes more closed up, making it even harder or impossible for boaters to enter or exit.

I view this as a win-win and beneficial to both boaters and to protecting the landscape of the water from further erosion.

For the Life and Safety of Boaters and their children this is a must.
The bonus of this project is the enhancement of the area of which there is an active Osprey Nest that has been so successful each year breading the next generation.

It is commendable that this project is proposing to go to great lengths to enhance the estuary's ecology by creating intertidal wetlands and using eco-friendly materials.

It can be dangerous when sailboats become grounded right in the middle of the channel! This can happen twice a day on any given day....so seems prudent to create a safe condition for everyone....thank you.

I have visited Brick Cove numerous times over the last few years . I've witnessed the deterioration and erosion of the peninsula. It has unfortunately become an eyesore. In I do not own a boat but I've seen boats getting stuck entering/exiting the mouth of the channel, no matter the tide. The needed proposed dredging and other thoughtful improvements will be appreciated by the entire Brick Community of visitors like myself and residents of the area
The improvements that are being put forth will go a long way to bringing this unique piece of property to the potential it deserves
Thank you

I have been at Brick Cove since 1990 and shoaling accumulates over time causing grounding and expensive and potentially damaging towing. I strongly support the need and request to drege the channel.

It is important to keep our entrances and exits open for our boaters. It keeps the Northfield boating industry viable!

Greetings. We have recently closed on a house in Southold and are looking forward to settling in. As a boat owner I believe it is important to maintain existing recreational boating infrastructure. It is particularly important to support a family run facility such as Brick Cove. I urge the board to approve the Brick Cove project and keep the marina viable.

Please approve the application. The sailing community is the lifeblood of the Peconic Bays, and our marinas are necessary to support the sailing community.

Please approve this application. There is truly no downside for anyone but us sailboat owners if this doesn’t go through. The people against it are just afraid that BC will get too fancy and change the the surrounding area. We worry about that too, but this is not the project to fight! This really just helps us sailboaters (and the osprey)!!!

I'm a year-round resident and have made a choice to keep my boat at Brick Cove Marrina, which supports local business and year-round jobs. The proposed improvements stand to benefit the greater Southold community, in addition to promoting environmentally conscious initiatives.

The dredging is greatly needed as is improving the bulkheads and preserving the peninsula and osprey's nest. Brick Cove is a wonderful local business, and this project will help them continue to be so into the future.

Brick Cove been an excellent environmental steward and provides jobs and economic stimulus to the area. This modest proposal will allow for safer navigation for the many sail boats that enjoy our beautiful waterways
