This dredging proposal would allow us to use our boat at all stages of the tide. Currently we are limited to 50% of the tide cycle from midtide-high tide-midtide. Please allow this proposal to be approved.

I'm writing to support Brick Cove's dredging application. This is a great marina run by wonderful people. I have been a member of their community for many years and have seen how the erosion of peninsula has gradually created navigability problems for even moderate sized boats trying to enter the cove. I hope you'll grant their application and allow Brick Cove to continue helping boaters - particularly us sailors - enjoy our waterways.

As a lifelong resident of Orient and professional fisherman and captain for 40+ years I strongly support the dredging proposal. Brick Cove Marina has given me the opportunity to safe haven my 40’ charter boat during hurricane conditions. Ensuring the channel’s viability is paramount to my charter business and of course the Brick Cove and all the other local businesses that share the same customers.
