To whom this may concern,

We the students of Brehm Preparatory School believe that we should have our phones no matter the tier level, through the school day and not have it taken away. Below are some reasons why we the students believe this strongly:

- If we are left behind on a rec it is easier to get to the school (wether it's calling a student or the school who can inform the school that they have been left behind.

- Other private boarding schools allow phones, why shouldn't we?

- We, or our parents pay at least $10 or $160 at most for our phone bills a month, not being able to use them here shows that even though we pay a lot of money to come here, that we are giving ourselves or our parents a useless expense. Yet when we go home for vacation or suspension and we need our phones, so if we cancelled the phone bills then we wouldn't have them for going home.

- It is more convenient, in terms of trying to find a student, the school would have the students cell phone on record incase they needed to reach the student.

- If students are breaking the rules to have a phone for various reasons then why not just give them their phones to start with.

- We understand that administration and dorm staff think that it is best for us, but the truth is, we live in a digital age, and being deprived of something that we own just because of a cyberbulling, sexting, or any other bad reason is not smart.

- We do understand though that some of the reasons for not having phones in school may be good, we feel that the good weigh out the bad in the problem.

- Not all of the students should have to pay for what a small group of students do.

These are just a few reasons, there are many more but these are some of the most important.

To be followed are signatures of students in favor who have read over this petition and agree about it. Not just about having their phones , but their reasons too.
