Final supporters
Recognizing the high levels of violence in Namibia, the Office of the First Lady has embarked on a year-long campaign, namely the #BreakFree Anti-Violence campaign. As part of the campaign, a nationwide call for action has been issued through an Anti-Violence Pledge. Through this Anti-Violence campaign, the Office of the First Lady strives to work with partners to address issues such as, non-violent conflict resolution, sexual consent, problem solving and providing solutions to the high levels of violence in our society. We aim to gather a 100,000 pledge signatures. Signing the pledge gives you an opportunity to be part of building a non-violent society. We Encourage You to Pledge, Share and Inspire.

Two hundred and fifty names already which is honestly spinning my head a little bit because I started this just to see if anyone else cared as much as I do. It feels like a small start but I keep staring at the counter and thinking about all those people choosing to say no to violence today.

I’m glad there is a platform where young girls/boys can speak out against violence. “The person who did this to you is broken. Not you.”
After independence we had one thing in mind no more violence therefore no more pain and we wanted to unite however be it at home, school or working environment violence will hold us back let’s stop violence let learn to love and talk when offended
Non-Violence is not only possible, it also enhances the quality of our lives, and there are plenty of creative alternatives to violence we can all learn about.
Brilliant ideas Cde. First Lady. However, lets introduced heavy penalties/ stiffer sentences for those who are committing this kind of act. i believe it is the only way we can achieve zero gender violence in our beautiful country.
The members of Solidarity Community Care Organisation are waiting to sign the Pledge and get involved in anti-violence campaign on a daily basis.

I deply condemn the GBV in our country especially against women .The nation is crying out loud for help and I will condone this brutality done against fellow Namibians
