Ban is immoral and infringes on rights to associate with others.

It's time for the City of El Cajon to show compassion for those without homes. Especially recognizing that El Cajon has exorbitantly high rents in El Cajon that often forces people to live on the streets!!

If you are unwilling or unable to help, don't prevent us from doing so. If you want to help, like you claim, provide adequate bathrooms and other sanitation areas.

I truly understand the dilemma of continued support of homelessness versus working on a long term solution to homelessness. Both are difficult but both are necessary if we are to find a viable outcome. While we figure out the long term solution let’s not be uninterested or inhuman...these folks are fellow Americans and human beings, they are already suffering please let’s find a reasonable solution that doesn’t put one side against the other! I am from north county and I am very surprised what you don't have down here and the resources that you lack. get with is east county. I can't believe when i heard about this. very upset

I believe help should come for our own communities, not the government, nor should the government prevent us from helping our communities.

Stop the ban on feeding homeless. It is cruel and creates an environment of hostility and fear. Not good for El Cajon. A city that nurtures its citizens, all of them - is what we need.

I heard about the recent ban you helped pass that prohibits people from sharing food with other people who are hungry and I am extremely upset and disappointed. If you are really concerned about the welfare of the homeless residents of El Cajon, you need to 1) immediately rescind the ban on distributing food to them, 2) provide adequate public bathrooms and hand-washing stations, and 3) increase housing available to people who are homeless. Trying to starve out your homeless population during the holidays is not what the City of El Cajon should want to be known for. Since you voted on the prevailing side, please correct this terrible injustice by moving to revis

Feed them, and then provide affordable housing and mental health. Problem solved!

Is such a ban or ordinance even legal? How can anyone prevent or outlaw one person from feeding another?

Stop criminalizing the homeless and the citizens who want to help! Instead, get moving on permanent supportive housing!
