Absolutely appalling that anyone should deny these people their basic humanity and right to eat. This has to be reversed.

Being poor and homeless is not a crime and should not be treated as such.

Punishing people for helping others is ridiculous. Sharing food is an act of love essential to survival.

Communities and individuals shouldn’t have to pay for wreckless decisions made by officials who are unable comprehend or identify possible consequences from their poor decision making. We need to be fighting for poverty and the people who need our help, not putting measures against them! Another poor decision, and this one I’ll stand loudly against.

I guess there's one extra blessing counted in the El Cajon city council, you get to sit down and be fed without the person who cooked the turkey getting hauled off to jail.

A despicable act and a pitiful attempt at lessening the Hepatitis A outbreak.

This feeding ban is unnecessary and immoral.

Organizations feeding people does not spread Hep A. If you would like fewer homeless in the area, look into Housing first options and diversion programs to keep people from becoming homeless.

Criminalizing the homeless is wrong and as a democracy we can do so much better.

Starving the homeless will not keep hepatitis A from spreading. The homeless will suffer. If you want to stop Hep A from spreading than implementation sanitation areas and provide them with means of sanitation.

This is ignorant. Shame on EC City Council. What are your actual solutions? Starving out the homeless is not a solution.
