Please remove this Ban by starving and not helping our homeless we are making things worse for these poor people they are human beings . They are mothers and fathers and maybe brothers or sisters or even someone’s child who obviously need help not only from the city , county even the state . We need to approach this growing epidemic in El Cajon from a different angle completely!

El Cajon is treating their homeless citizens like a leper colony. If they are concerned about the spread of Hep A or C, let them provide bathrooms and places for people to wash their hands. City council members really arent fit for public office. They have disgraced El Cajon with their " NO feeding ban"!

I've been blessed to go feed and love on my buddies without homes in East County for about four years now. I pray to see people the way Our Father does and I've met some beautiful souls that are just going through a bad time and some are on some bad stuff. This doesn't make them bad people! It's makes them people that need to see and feel His love. I'm kinda close with a lot of the regulars at Wells. I love them! I can't stand the thought of them being cold and hungry! There's signs saying not to feed them and signs saying they can't pan handle! They also can't use local bathrooms and they've had their bathrooms locked and now have porta potties instead with no way to wash up. They're being pushed from place to place. Most of my buddies try to keep a positive attitude however, theyre human and they're starting to get frustrated and a little hurt being treated and referred to in unkind...and even inhumane ways! We need better solutions! We need more shelters opened! We need more compassion and love shared with our fellow brothers and sisters in transition! Much love and blessings to all involved!

I am led by not only my heart, but by God, to help the needy, the hungry, and the homeless. This is my calling and my ministry. I too have been touched by homelessness and can not only relate, but feel their pain. How can one understand hunger, thirst, sense the life of poverty and all that accompanies living a life on the streets, without exposing themselves, for even two or three full days and nights exposed to this life. Explain to the hungry and thirsty, why one cannot at least anticipate those kindhearted people who bring them food and water. Now to take this away. Wow. I can't even imagine how they feel. Just saying. Anabelinda Perez

I got Hep A this time last year and was in the hospital for 4 days the first week of december 2016. I got Hep A from the jack in the box on chase and avocado NOT from being HOMELESS or A DRUG USER. And NOW they are harassing and discriminating against me so much so that I'm emotionally a wreck.

A cruel way to treat the problem of homelessness, let's get some governmental officials to assume responsibility for the whole community

I would think that a similar legal principle could apply making it unlawful to prevent feeding the homeless, unless other free meals were being officially offered by the municipality, or coordinating agencies. http://www.voiceofsandiego.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/SPENCER-SETTLEMENT-AND-ORDERS.pdf

Hep A will only intensify if people are not fed. It's a disgrace, and inhumane besides. Shame on El Cajon city council. Small minded leaders make small minded decisions.

How is this rule supposed to help anyone, especially the homeless population? Starving people are people, no matter their circumstances.
