This is our day who has the right to tell us we shouldn't decorate our outfits? We worked hard to get here so why ruin our fun?

No harm in a little celebrating. This is a big deal for these kids who have worked so hard.

Let the kids have this! They've earned it!! We don't need to keep taking things away that people actually enjoy... allow these graduates to celebrate fully :)

Students should be allowed to decorate their caps. I understand the want for graduation to be uniform and have everyone look the same, but what about self expression? When everyone throws up their caps at the end of the ceremony how is everyone supposed to know which one is theirs? Let the students decorate the caps with an appropriate design.

what will they do if you decorate it anyway - I would love to challenge the school if they say not let them graduate or walk....ITS about EDUCATION so who cares about the damn cap!

My highschool doesn't allow this either. It should be available to everyone to do.

Seniors should be allowed to design their own caps as long as they are approved by teachers.

So long as caps are decorated appropriately I really don't see the problem. Not only is it a creative outlet for students but an easy way for loved ones in the stands to spot their graduate!

I was not allowed to decorate my cap in high school and I was devistated, since the class before mine decorated theirs. I am here with all of you!

Let the kids enjoy their final moment in their high school years. They paid for their cap and gown not the school and not the district. Come on people show the going adults how compromise works. Be a good role model too.
Let them have one day!!!!
