There are ways to keep it regulated! It's hard but possible they've worked hard for four years! It's a cap!

I was never intersted in decorating my cap in high school but I know plenty who looked forward to this. They did not do it to make a point about "high school sucks I'm through". They did it to show where they were going and what they were planning to do with their lives after this huge stepping stone of education. Of course the minority ruins the good will of the majority. What makes this different from any other institution? Many other places have been able to make compromises in matters similar to this. Does this signify CUHSD is deteriorating as a whole being unable to handle what should only be a minor annoyance that anyone working in K-12 education should expect? For the many of you signing write something meaningful. It may be a joke to some of you but to others it means so much more.

After years of having to "conform to what others think is the "norm" and acceptable, let theses students be the individuals they came into this world as! Stop controlling their every move. Set parameters for them and allow the creative being to shine!

This is beyond baffling that this is up for debate. These kids have gone through years and years of ups and downs.. academically, socially.. and you decide to sour their final memory of highschool by putting a stupid, selfish rule in place...

Decorating our caps is a reflection of our experience in high school and makes graduation all the more fun and memorable. If one is offended by a student's cap, that is unfortunate but they should realize that the student's cap only applies to THEIR experience and I believe that it is not anyone's intention to offend others, especially during a silly graduation ceremony when it is about completing high school and celebrating the students' accomplishments. Don't break the memorable tradition that all of us look forward to.

There is no reason why the class of 2016 shouldn't be allowed to decorate our caps to show our enthusiasm for having made it through high school. Why single us out? What is your actual reasoning for why we alone should be kept from upholding such a fun tradition?
