Downtown Brandon needs a liquor store

YES!!!

I'm 69 years old and don't drink except on rare occaisions, but I use vodka in my CPAP machine and buy high-end bourbons for gifts. It would be nice to have a nice liquor store near downtown Brandon so I don't have to drive way out to the Rez. I lived in a small town in Alabama where we had liquor stores and crime was very low.

It makes no sense to deny a liquor store in Brandon when you can drive a few miles to make a purchase. That hurts Brandon’s bottom line. We need the revenue.

If this passes or not, it won’t prevent people from purchasing liquor in other cities and counties. It would make more sense to keep revenue and taxes within your city. I would like to be able to purchase wine on the way home from work in 39042, into the rankin county where I live.

I support bringing liquor stores to city limits of Brandon and would shop there.

I live just outside the city limits off of Trickhambridge Rd. It would be great to be able to ride to town real quick to pick up a bottle of wine instead of having to plan a trip to go across the spillway.

Though I do not live in city limits, I live about two miles outside of the line. I would be a regular patron of a liquor store in Brandon, as it currently takes me 30 minutes to get to the closest one in jackson.
