The technologies associated with this petition could enable mind uploading, which could solve climate change, disease, poverty, suffering, death and more. This research needs more serious attention by the scientific community.

All evidence suggests that nature is not going anywhere; if this the case what could possibly be wrong with longevity and even immortality? It is a great endeavor and valiant step by the BPF to preserve life and perfect cryonics technology. I wish you good luck to all your researchers!

It is utterly shameful that our species is not investing more into researching all of the open possibilities for healthspan extension.

I stand for brain preservation as a means of supporting an individual's right to life, as well as a means of insuring the quality of that life by allowing a better understanding of the human brain.

I saw my grandfather's brain deteriorate as a result of Alzheimer's, and with it his personality, memories, and knowledge. Understanding the brain, and being able to preserve it are some of the most important goals for all of us to collectively achieve.

I think that reaching immortality with technology could be possible, so I think it should be one of the most important research targets of science nowadays.
