We need more snow making trails for cross country skiing

I am a parent of a current Edina High School Nordic ski team member and of a former team member who has graduated. I was a long-term resident of Edina until last month. I strongly support the trails and, as a skier myself, would happily pay a fee for trail use as a non-resident.

We strongly support the making of snow for the nordic ski trails at Braemar golf course, and the grooming of the ski trails. It will enhance the quality of life for the people of our city. However, we only support the cross country ski trails aspect of the winter additions proposed for Braemar Park.

Would visit the area of there was snow.

The snowmaking/trail proposal will benefit the entire community: support health lifestyles, encourage family outings, and allow youth to learn to enjoy winter and cross-country skiing

I think Nordic ski trails are a good addition to the Braemar golf course. Other golf courses have incorporated ski trails. Given how crowded the ski trials are at Hyland Park, there is the demand for it.

Snowmaking at Braemar is very important to the Edina Nordic team and our ability to practice.

I have sent emails and attended a community meeting on this topic. I know some of the nearby neighbors are concerned, but I think it has been well planned and would be an asset to many. Although I recently moved to Bloomington, my daughter has attended Edina schools all her life, is a senior at EHS this fall and went to State with her Nordic team last year.

A former resident of Golden Valley, I continue to support the Twin Cities efforts to provide superior outdoor activities.

Nordic is an amazing sport, and the addition of ski trails at Braemar would be very beneficial to the team and the community as a whole.

I have coaching XC for 20 years snowmaking is vital for developing competitive youth XC skiers I'm 100% for snowmaking

Please make this happen. As a taxpaying citizen living in Edina, this is a BIG win for our community.
