Make Boston Public School Lunch Time Longer!
We, BPS students, parents, and concerned citizens, believe that providing a holistic educational environment that supports health and wellness is an important part of education. We urge Superintendent Carol R. Johnson, to create healthier and equitable environments within Boston Public Schools by standardizing and extending the existing lunch period from 20 minutes to 35 minutes, in doing so; demonstrate the Boston Public School's commitment to equitable food access and nourishing environments that promote a commitment to learning. If there are enough signatures, the Boston Collaborative for Food and Fitness' Youth Advisory Board can get this to really happen! They will work with Superintendent Carol R. Johnson and Helen Mont-Ferguson, the head of the BPS Central Kitchen, so that all students can have longer lunch times. Thanks! ----------- NOTE: After clicking "Sign Petition", your signature will automatically be recorded. A donation page will load: it is to donate to the website iPetitions, not to our cause.
