BP Garage Traffic Lights

Taxis run the red, drive ce on the pavement and cut through the Hire Shop to beat the red.

Just crazy how dangerously the small taxi’s & large taxi’s drive . They don’t stop at this intersection & jump red lights. Somebody is bound to get killed.. AND right outside a school. It has to be stopped!

Shameless disregard for traffic rules just so they don’t have to wait in a queue by registered and informal taxis( often unroadworthied). Some also use the slip in front of Salies to jump the queue onto Payne Str.

These I effectively timed robots robots frustrate drivers, who then ignore the robots and drive through regardless. A child will be injured or worse one day.

Minibus and cockroach taxis use the turning lane for Payne St as an accelerating lane to jump the traffic lights. Sooner or later this behavior will cause a serious crash, injuries or death.

Serious danger to other road users and pedestrians, and also causes massive traffic issues. Remove and replace with a round-about.

Lives matter

Taxis are lawless and dangerous. The robot should be automated to adjust to traffic requirements or replaced with a circle.

The intersection in question has become dangerous due to moterists not following the law of the road by using the turning lane to continue straight. There have already been a few accidents and the fact that the intersection is at a school means that children are at risk.

Taxis taxis and more taxis. Need I say more.

This is a high danger intersection. We live one block up and hear screeching tyres and bangs from there all the time. As a school teacher I am especially concerned as young kids are constantly crossing over and in danger of being hurt or killed at this intersection. It is just a matter of time before there is a tragedy. Please take this request seriously or come and monitor it yourselves. It will only take a short period of observation to convince you of the dire problem we are concerned about. Thank you.

This intersection should never have been controlled by traffic light signals and should always have been a traffic circle. Literally countless incidents of total disregard for the lights and for other road users occurs throughout the day, with mostly taxi's driving right through red lights and along the right turn lanes- this is a fatal accident waiting to happen and must be resolved urgently.
