Stop proposed apartment complex on Boyd Lake Avenue

The roads and the schools can't handle it.

other state lakes in colorado do not have lakefront apt. buildings. don't create a permanent eyesore. single family homes are more appropriate.

Allowing apartments to be built in this area would be a poor decision. We are already dealing with an overwhelming amount of traffic and impatient drivers. Not to mention how frustrating it would be to lose the view. We bought our property with the hopes of being able to enjoy the view and open space.

No apartments please

No more building and high-density housing to a community already feeling the impact of little to no resources, no outlets for high volume traffic, unsafe conditions for pedestrians and commuters, and the continued destruction of natural resources. This specific community and city cannot support this additional transient housing.

Can't imagine how this would benefit anyone but the property owners, home ownership is needed for proper stewardship of the area.

I believe high density apartments would completely ruin the value of this community by increasing noise, increasing traffic, creating night time light pollution, crowd the school, destroy views of the lake and mountains, and negatively affect property values. Why give prime real estate to renters that do not pay property taxes? Low density single family homes are a more appropriate fit for that property (if anything).

That premium land should be used for single family homes.

I am not opposed to developing this land but I am opposed to apartments. Loveland needs long term residents that are concerned about the long term future of Loveland. Home ownership is a long term commitment.

Too much growth too fast! The infrastructure CANNOT handle it! The roads and related traffic are truly becoming a dangerous situation. At certain times of the day, cars are literally backed up from one light all the way to the next one (Boyd and Eisenhower)! As a result, people are driving on shoulders, cutting through neighborhoods, etc. More living space, particularly apartments, will add many more drivers. Certainly not until Boyd Lake Avenue is greatly increased in capacity. Enough is enough.

Please be environmentally responsible when developing this beautiful piece of property! No apartment buildings!!!!

I am totally opposed to this project for all of the reasons expressed by the Hopkins and others. Greedy developers do not care about our quality of life.

Very BAD proposal.

Building this housing would cause so many problems. Even though it is on a main road, traffic on 34 is already so bad and congested for most of the hours of the day. Building the housing would also create more traffic on Boyd Lake Ave, which is a major inconvenience not only for people who travel the road regularly, the the high school students who already have a hard enough time getting in/out of the Mountain View campus with the current amount of traffic.

Boyd Lake Avenue needs to be 4 lane from Eisenhower north past CR24 (37th St). We need a roundabout at Boyd Lake Avenue and CR24. CR 24 needs to be 4 lane also. Improving Eisenhower & Boyd Lake intersection is good but it is not enough. The roads mentioned above, north of the Lakes at Centerra, continue to get busier and more congested.

Disagree with development proposal

Please build single family homes - not high density apartments, which will exacerbate traffic and school problems, and also reduce the view of Boyd Lake and the front range.

I am not apposed to developing this land, in fact I am for development of this land. I would like to see this land develop in the same vane as Boyd Lake Shores development. Single family homes - maybe some smaller townhomes like the north part of Boyd Lake Shores as well. I think we will not be able to stop development but we need to push for development that is similar to that which is currently on the surrounding property of the lake. That way we avoid this potential of high density dwellings from now on and forward. I understand regarding the development of every square inch of land. It would be cool not to develop but I think that unless everyone wants to buy this land, or the city is willing to buy it, or the Corp of Engineers, or Laramie County Open spaces, then development is going to happen Let's make it what we want, not what a cash grab of high density living suggests.
