We, the undersigned, have decided to boycott all US government owned corporations. We do not make this decision lightly. We are aware that our actions will have a negative financial impact on our fellow Americans whose places of employment have been usurped by a federal government that has over stepped it’s Constitutional authority. We do not blame our fellow Americans who work at these corporations. We feel that the actions taken by the federal government are far more harmful to the American people than our boycott will be. We must return America to the capitalist principles it was founded upon. The only way this will happen is if we vote with our dollars as if everyday were Election Day. Only by forcing the government out of the private sector can we hasten the recovery of the economy. As each US government owned corporation is returned to either private or public ownership, where they belong, we will begin to engage in commerce with them once again. This petition will be delivered to the President of the United States at the end of every fiscal quarter until the government doesn’t own a single share of stock. I am currently finalizing the formal packet that will be delivered to the administration at the end of the current fiscal quarter. My focus is on documenting the shift of resources from the private sector to state control to ensure our demand for divestment remains the central issue.
August 16, 2009
The scale of this mobilization has reached a point where we are finalizing a formal request for a meeting with the relevant oversight committees. I am currently drafting the briefing documents that will accompany our first quarterly delivery to the White House to ensure our economic demands are documented clearly.
