Today, (6/28/2013) as expected, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that it has approved a New Mexico horse slaughter plant's (VALLEY MEAT COMPANY LLC @ 3845 CEDARVALE ROAD. ROSWELL, NM 88203 (575)622-1214) application to operate in that state. This marks the first time since 2006 that a horse slaughter plant has been approved to operate in the U.S. With your support and signature on this petition, you agree to boycott Valley Meat Company LLC and refuse to buy their products or support the businesses who buy and use their products. Your stance by evidence of your signature to this petition will send a message to Valley Meat Company LLC and to others like them, that we as a collective voice refuse to allow our American horses to become apart of the food chain.
