I wish Hugh Jackman would have done his homework.... people were exploited abused as well as these amazing creatures!! See how you would feel being chained prodded and forced to do unnatural things!!

For the ignorant commemts stating how well Barnum treated animals...really? What animal in the wild likes to do tricks in front of humans? What animal leaves the wild to go in the entertainment industry? Misinformation like these need to be questioned at all times. It's as immature as someone saying animals like being in cages (zoos) or horses and huskies like to pull things or get ridden on.
Go to circuses.com, there's plenty of undercover footage of abuse! And open up a science book or two, read the national geographic or pbs. to learn about animal behavior.

Absolutely not. Barnum actually supported the early movement to protect animals. Before looking foolish you need to do your research. PT Barnum was was ahead of his time and befriended one of the first animal activists. It was a different time and set of mores and not only did Barnum support Bergh, but his advice was often sought on the care of animals by early scientific research with some of his exhibits are still in the Smithsonian and at Yale and Harvard.

Just like I didn't go to the circus, I won't see this ridiculous false portrayal of a horrible man.

I can't believe they would make this movie . The circus is sooo cruel to animals. How can a normal human being gain pleasure from the inhumane treatment of anonther living creature. Disgusting!

This doesn’t need to be shown in theaters
