Home base learning does not justify the amount of school fees we've been paying. Not all parents are able to teach their kids Chinese, as for our situation we are non-chinese speaker.

We send them for classes because we do not possess the relevant knowledge or to engage the child to be interested in the language. If we are still being charged the same fees for HBL, we do not need the teachers in a way. They could just advertise like what we can buy offshelves from Popular, those online learning for them to go through it at home. Obviously, they are just reluctant to make a substantial amount of loss from this sudden mandated suspension.

I agree that a 30mins HBL cannot be substituted for a 1hr n 45mins class. If they can charge us as per lesson, why cant they pro-rate this term fees and bring it forward to Term 2?

They should just cancel the classes & push back accordingly like what other centres eg Yamaha, Taekwondo, etc. are doing.

Govt ordered suspension and not for berries to cheat consumers by offering elearning in lieu of physical class. The results are different and I did not pay for sub standard result. I reiterate that I am opting out of home based learning n I shld have such rights to do so

Understand where they re come from cuz the closure is too sudden. But I feel they should give us credits back or refund just like other enrichment classes. If other enrichment centre able to do it, berries should be able to work something out. Rather that giving us $50 voucher.

Feeling really Unfair for all the students and parents. We did not pay and sign up for online learning. They should relook into this issue as e-learning is Only a short term solution that benefits themselves more than the students at this point. Truly disappointed that they did not give parents any options in this case.

P1 is not ideal for online learning esp for Chinese when we parents are not good at it.

HBL is added stress to parents who are unable to guide their children. Some parents are not proficient in the language hence are unable to do so. Lessons should commence only when centre reopens.

A substantial discount should be given for the unfulfilled lessons as materials & e-learning does not justify the fees that has been paid.

The way Berries has handled the situation is totally unacceptable. $50 per lesson for e-learning is not worth at all.

This is just ridiculous! Simply replacing all the lessons with just slides on the computer... I might as well just use YouTube and its free! Really conning the parents!

If e-learning, I will expect live show with real teachers teaching. Not just slides presentation. Children cannot absorb I’m sorry to say.

I prefer make up classes instead of home based learning. We have no laptop at home for the children and have no time to do e learning with the kids

This is ridiculous. I didn’t pay $50 per lesson for a badly done e learning that my girl would have been able to complete in 20 mins. Please just give the affected students back their credits in classes, especially parents who paid full year fees already. You can credit to the following year or just refund us for this year for the number of lessons affected from Friday onwards.
