Berries throws the coaching responsibilities to parents. If i am proficient enough to coach him, why do i need to enrol him with the centre?

Most centers that my kid goes to have acknowledge that e-learning is not effective below P2. Berries should put in effort to organise replacement lessons like other centers. E-learning should come with 50% credits like the other center. I would recommend parents to consider other alternatives like Hua. My kid goes to another chinese enrichment who also agree that young kids need physical learning and opt to provide 100% credit.

Instead of the take it or leave it attitude, The arrangement should be more flexible.

I agree that home based learning is not effective and cannot used to replace the actual lessons we paid for. Berries should close their centres like all other enrichment centres.

Paid in full in January for classes to commence in Feb. Turned away on the slated first day of class and told to wait for updates. Haven’t heard anything since then

My opinion is just withdraw kids from unnecessary enrichment and tuition (unless they really love it). School is already so long hours for them. Don't think they will refund the money. Just make sure no more payment to them in future. Let them go bust. Find our who are the owners as they may just rebrand themselves and restart. Honestly, every day i see lifeless students everywhere and my heart aches. Our education has gone wrong and parents are partly responsible for it. Sorry for being harsh. From pre school, children are already atttending enrichment (if it is something they enjoy it is fine of cos) and have tuition all the way to 18 years old. Some even have tuition in Uni. At some time, we have to let go and they just have to learn in school. The earlier that happens, the better it is. Else once the mindset sets in, they become dependent on tuition and very hard to reverse. Life has no tuition. Every failure is opportunity for growth. The solution to poor academic results is not tuition. Kids must learn to ask questions in class. Find friends or teachers for help. That's the among the most important life skills.

“Parent of child at Buangkok Square branch. I always had a very good impression of Berries’ standard of teaching and the effectiveness of their teaching methods. However, this HBL only approach of 20 Mins which the management of Berries chose to go for as compared to rescheduling students’ lessons to other possible dates (after the closure is lifted), really left a bad impression I now have of Berries. It really shows the glaring lack of communication between parents and them. I urge the management to reconsider their decision again and save their reputation by doing what is not only good for the students’ overall learning experience in a proper classroom, but to also regain the trust that many parents have in them. In summary, please reschedule students’ lessons to May or even June 2020 like what many other reputable enrichment centres would do. Everyone in the country suffers doing such trying times, and we all make adjustments to give and take. Taking advantage of the situation is certainly not welcome by most.

How can you expect parents to teach in replacement of your teaching? I paid for teachers to teach in their environment, not for myself to teach at home. Pls look into replacement lessons and since this is unlikely to be possible in view of the closure, please refund for the affected lessons; if not credit back for our future use. It is a big joke to request for us to self teach at home and charge us the full amount of school fees.

Kids too young. Parents have to sit in.. If not free.. Then have to involve grandparents.

Berries should either provide at least 60% discount of the semester fees due to HBL or switch to zoom learning (interaction between teacher & students)

Kids sent to berries to improve the Chinese. Its sloppy way to get parents to teach their kids with home based learning. Particularly for those under 8. Computer or TV time is not even encouraged for nursery or kindergarten. Just refund waht has been paid or at least in terms of full credit.

It isn’t fair to parents that we still have to bear the full costs at this time when my kid is not attending the lessons physically. A $50 voucher for next use is not sufficient at all.

with home based lesson doesn’t make up enough for physical lessons, please at least gives us back one month of school fees.
