Suspend classes without refund or credits is highly unjust. Home based learning for 3yo is unacceptable when screen time is NOT advisable for young kids!

In the midst of an uncertain environment where many Singaporeans are showing grace and unity, the decision not to provide some make up classes or partial credits or refund (and only a one time paltry discount for new classes) by Berries is simply appalling. It reeks of trying to screw your clients attitude- we don't want to suffer any losses but you can. I will definitely not enrol my daughter for new N1 classes because Berries is clearing not being fair and taking advantage of your clients' hard earned monies.

They should provide interactive learning as technology is now easily available. Many enrichment Center uses Zoom!
Change your elearning and don’t short change parents!

I have tried the HBL once 2wks ago and I am very disappointed by it. Normally a class of 1h45min become a 15-20min video. And i have to sit with my children throughout whole video, play & pause and guide and teach them. End up I am doing the teacher work and spent up to almost 2hrs (which is the time of one lesson).
Moreover, is not just showing video and expect the children to understand.
Berries did not even try to reduce the school fees if they want to do HBL. I still paying full price for doing the teachers' job. Or at least refund these few lessons fees.
I know classes are impact by this virus. So are many others. But how other enrichment classs approach to handle this situation is much better than Berries!
And as parents,we are also impact. Our jobs, earnings also impacted as well. All these fees are our hard earn money. But Berries just want to continue earning our money like this and giving zero sincerity in their answers and ways to handle this is the most disappointing.

1) do a full e-lesson like how other centres are doing.
2)make it an option for parents to withdraw for full refund if e-learning is not a favorable platform.

Berries decided to have so many home based learning instead of just stopping the classes.

Totally agree! The proposed arrangement is not justifiable for the school fee

Understand the difficulties but the arrangements are futile if parents are not well-equipped to guide their kiddos on the HBL contents. Paying full school fees for such arrangements is not justifiable as well.

I do not received any log in information or notes via both email or physical mail. Called on sat morning at the time of the lesson and was told if I want to collect them physically from school, would have to wait till weekday. It’s after I sound displeased before I can collect the notes 3 hrs after the lessons start time

I have 3 kids at berries. They should give a refund for lessons skipped. Homebased learning ends up it’s parents who have to do lots of work with the kids! And we still need to pay Berries for it- which don’t make a lot of sense

Agreed that HBL is not beneficial to young children. Alternative should be looked into.

Know this covid19 affected alot companies and people. However such arrangement is not justify and not acceptable. We parents can accept suspension till further notice, but not merely 20mins hbl and vouchers compare to attend 1 hour 45mins classes.
