I'm old enough to remember bowa as an excellent defensive shortstop who was also on a threat to seal when on base he also turn into a respectable hitter..in other words he was not an easy out ( harrelson, belanger. Alley. Michael ) & also play with his heart on his sleeve

Saw both him and Mike Schmidt as rookies. It is unbelievable to me that he is not in the Hall of Fame based on his defense alone.

It boggles my mind how one of the best fielding shortstops has never come up for election to the hall of fame!

Loved to watch him play shortstop. One of the best I've ever seen. Bowa deserves strong consideration for this.

He was the best fielding SS of the 70's no question. He was also the heart and soul of those great Phillies teams in the 1970's. Stat wise he is better or equal to those SS already in the Hall. Larry Bowa should be given a comparative eye test by the Veterans Committee.

As dependable a player and competitive a spirit as has every set foot on a baseball diamond.

Best shoes top of the AstroTurf era behind Ozzie Smith.

My hero from the first time I watched him play. Gave me my athletic attitude and drive. Today's athletes could learn so much. How many would play with a hang nail, let alone the injuries he played through. I can't think of any other player that hated to lose more.

I believe Larry Bowa belongs in the Hall of Fame. I hope you will consider him soon. I believe his stats prove that he should go in as a shortstop. Please vote him in.

Larry did it the right way. Intense and he hustled on every play. Twice the player Jimmy Rollins is. Best Philly SS of all time. You can't teach what Larry Bowa had.......heart. He never gave up and he out in many years as a minor leaguer. They dont make them like Bo anymore.
