Please keep the beauty & peacefulness of this area of the lake intact. That's why people buy homes on the lake - to get away from the hubbub of overdevelopment. We don't need more hotels! Please keep this as single Family Residential zoning.

There has to be a better place for this than close to residential areas and in a smaller cove. Please find a new place.

I vote no to RM-3 rezoning request on property off Collis Rd. I am highly concerned about the ecology and environment of Lake Oconee during and after construction of the project.

I am against the rezoning to RM-3 without conditions. I am concerned about the cove ecology and environment during and after construction of any development on this property.

As a home owner in the area, I oppose this re-zoning proposal. The area is poorly suited for a hotel, and I certainly can not endorse a re-zoning proposal with no restrictions.

My family and I are opposed to this development.

A hotel would make this portion of the lake too busy and make the families that enjoy that cove have to be a constant watch for their kids.

Not happy about allowing this to take place!!!!

Rezoning without conditions is a recipe for disappointment. County Commission officials are elected to represent the citizens of their district and it isn’t likely that the citizens want the developer or a future developer to have unlimited discretion and control of an area that changes the adopted land use plan.

25 year resident located directly across the cove from the planned development is concerned about safety with high level of boating traffic in small cove. Am also skeptical of claimed tax revenues that seem optimistic. Finally, sufficient water/sewer system capacity seems doubtful with so little study. R1 would seem much more appropriate for this location.

I am opposed to this rezoning as put forth by the applicants. This proprty is zoned AG1 and R1 and is surroubded by R1 properties. The proper zoning for this should be R1. I am all ofr reasonable grwoth in the county and these applicants are anything but reasonable.

Please don’t commercialize our lake. It’s getting crowded now and a hotel will only exacerbate the problems.

There is already way too much road traffic in the area along with boat traffic. There must be concern for the balance, safety, welfare, and ‘fabric’ of the surrounding communities and property owners

The traffic during construction and after would be impossible.

I oppose the building of the new hotel

The Zoning Commission has already pointed out that this development will destroy Collis Road. There is too much traffic with the relatively minor construction already going on for safety, the stability of the road and our quality of life. Please do NOT allow a development to come in that will continue to cause problems for years to come.

Having this plan go through will tarnish the beauty and tranquility of our beautiful lake. We beg you not to let this company destroy what we all live about Lake Oconee.

i oppose this new hotel and meeting rooms.. why..? because i think, aside from the quality of life issues, the cost to the county might be more than tax revenue from the hotel and convention center will generate.. at least for the first years.. OH! of course, taxes can be raised to cover unexpected costs.. interesting that this power couple came he, fell in love with the beautiful area and now want to damage that beautiful area with a hotel.. if it stays just a hotel..
