Bourne in Lincolnshire, has so many talented young and old musicians alike. We have received an amazing £10,000 towards our own town Bandstand but cannot quite get permission to build it on our open space in the towns memorial gardens or anywhere at the moment.
The Salvation Army and the Bourne Rotary club have even started a new Community band, they and visiting bands would love a bandstand.
Many people have stated they are willing and would supply free or at cost price all the materials and services we need to have it built among the Willow trees surrounding the river Eau in the centre of town. Please sign the petition if you agree to Bourne having its own bandstand in the memorial gardens managed by Bourne United Charities. This land is for the residents of Bourne and surrounding areas as an amenity and to supply the people with pleasant open space.
