No more money-grabbing, character-destroying developments in Bounds Green

This proposal is totally out of character for Maidstone Road and for the Bounds Green area. Very unsympathetic in character.

Competent for character of the local neighbourhood. This also looks unsustainable as a long term housing option for potential occupants. Jason B

Will the developers be forced to provide an out door area for play or fresh air or do they think the new occupants should just stay in their rabbit hutches and not bother anyone ?

I strongly object to this development on the grounds of its size and the proposal to destroy a period property. Amenities, doctors and dentists are already at full stretch and as a resident i already find it difficult to park near home. There are too many developments already in progress in the area.

This development would be most unsightly and thoroughly inappropriate replacement to the existing pleasant and well-built house.

I object to this plan to demolish this home, especially in-light of the plan to replace with 35 flats. Bounds Green needs supporting to encourage flourishment, not to denegrade to the cheap, unattractive developments which are so common these days. Please think twice before agreeing to any plan for development. The mental health of the nation depends partly on encouraging surroundings.

This proposal is a total disgrace, yet sadly typical of greedy developers and councils desperate to tick house building boxes. If we don't protect London's/bounds greens character now, it will soon be lost forever.

This area is overloaded with new flats and inadequate facilities to meet the needs of people in them.

I wish to object to the proposed plans to demolish a beautiful Edwardian house and in Maidstone Road. First, the design of flats are not in keeping with the architecture of the street, Secondly, where are the residents going to park when there are only 7 car park spaces. This cannot go through Haringey. I object strongly.

I also strongly object to this house being demolished and replaced by ANOTHER block of flats. No increase in doctor surgeries, schools, shops so inevitable increase in traffic which has already ruined Warwick Road by making a side road into a main road with increased accidents and a danger to cross. Thoughtless!!!

Demolishing a lovely family house with real character and building an ugly, modern block to squeeze 10 flats into the site will spoil that side of Maidstone Road. Approval could set a dangerous precedent to similar proposals.

This area needs large family homes and not 1/2/3 bed flats.

Stop this constant erection of blocks of flats on any piece of vacant ground!

I object strongly to this beautiful house being demolished to be replaced by a very ugly block of flats. The flats won't be affordable and are just a money spinner for the developers and Haringay Council. We are losing our heritage with the lose of beautiful houses like this one.

We want homes for families not divided up into multiple flats so a landlord can make lots of money

I recently moved into the area for its family friendly environment, the quiet streets of characterful period properties. To drop one of the few remaining larger family houses in the area, to be replaced by ugly (in my opinion) flats seems wrong. It would not be in the spirit of areas such as this for such a development to become the precedent. Whether overlooking; opposite; next to; or just in the vacinity of such a proposed complex makes living in this area a much less attractive proposition to myself and other young professionals with children.
