A life guard is a good idea but I think the best solution would be some kind of barriers buy the hot water return to eliminate the current issue. They have wave breakers in the ocean so why could they put something in there.

They should arrange for a lifeguard at the beach. They are already charging $5 I think to access the beach with no lifeguards. I wouldn't mind paying extra if there is someone for people's safety.

There have been multiple drownings at the dam, but nothing has ever been done about it. We need lifeguards before someone else is lost

I can't imagine what a horrible thing this would of been to the boy and the family.
I looked up the terms of service in Woodlawn park, they seem to have enough things in bold capital letters including that there is no lifeguard at there park, but why isn't there? Maybe by law there not required to but by morality should they not? Is an extra couple thousand dollars a year not worth the cost of a life.
I think they should be sued for negligence and the money should go to the victims family on top of having manditory life guards.

Yes this isn't the first incident and won't be the last, I can't believe people still swim in there or allow children in there knowing how many people have drowned because of the currents wake up people it needs more than a life guard

I agree the beach needs a life guard but once the currents get a hold of someone there isn't a chance a life guard can save them no matter how experienced they are. They need to have ropes or something put up only allowing a person to go so far out.

A lifeguard NEEDS to be out on that beach NO questions asked! This isn't the first incident and if something doesn't get done it won't be the last!!! My heart aches for the boys family I couldn't imagine if that were my child!!! Come on city of Estevan do something!!!!
