I grew up in that water I've always said we needed a life guard there wood lawn makes more then enough money charging the people to go swim there on top of boats and camping. I'm sure they make enough to cover a wage. It's a public place and should be safe

I agree with this 100% we need a lifeguard if not 2 out there on the beach watching over the kids in the water. We don't need this happening again

I really think that having a lifeguard would be a better decision to prevent terrible things like this from happening... This should have been thought about a while ago, makes me feel sick knowing that a helpless kid got pulled under water from strong currents without a soul to help

I literally do not want to ever take my daughter there again or even myself just in case the current sucks her or I under. It appears to be strong enough, it is so dreadful this little boy didn't survive this I would feel way safer knowing a life guard is near to watch in case anything like this would occur and they'd notice right away if someone's head didn't come up in time from being underwater.

There should be no reason why there shouldn't be a lifeguard on duty at the boundary dam beach. No reason at all.
