Extremely poor and dangerous location for a bus barn . Buses attempting to pull out onto EITHER 720 or El Dorado Parkway will be putting all drivers in danger and will severely impede traffic flow.

Dickson Lane home owner, Jill Harris 4412. The proposed land for the bus barn has changed plans many times in the past 25 years. LESD took the land out from under a home developer. City Council and P& Z can change whatever they want - they have done it in the past. It's unreasonable that I am expected to build an animal barn up to standards (stone or brick) when LESD is asking for a below standard metal barn. The view from my front yard will now be buses and a maintenance barn where it was once beautiful scenery. When we were annexed we were promised city services - water and sewer. We have yet to receive them even thou they are required by law to provide with annexation. All they want to give us is a bus barn with noise, pollution and promised vandalism. Consider what life will be like on Dickson Lane.

This proposed zoning obviously does not sit well with the many neighboring residents. LE should focus more on development of properties to increase values to entice future residents thereby generate tax revenues for the city. As you drive by the Lewisville toll bridge from I-35E going to LE area, you would appreciate the beauty of the nature, the lake, the trees. Seeing a bus barn in the proposed area would KILL that feeling thus, shying away future residents of that area. I understand the importance of a bus barn facility but I hope LE also understands the people, the surrounding community, the children living in that area, who would eventually suffer from having it. Let alone the pollution, increased congestion, traffic, etc., all i see is hazard/decrease in property values, and lost of city's future revenues by having the bus barn location as proposed. I OPPOSE to this proposition.

Poor decision to attempt to build a bus barn in this location. This will increase traffic and congestion on an already heavily traveled road, as well as increase noise and air pollution in a residential area. Find a more appropriate location.

1. Inconvenient and inefficient for bus drivers: farthest SW point of the lake for LEISD district. Majority of students, as well as ALL of the schools are east on El Dorado Pkwy
2. Diminished air quality: Due to the longer commutes for the buses, pollution levels in/around Little Elm, a lakeside community, would be higher.
3. Safety of bus drivers and general public drivers: Due to LEISD school zone, the bus drivers would need to be making left turns onto El Dorado Pkwy or 720. These are already very dangerous intersections!
4. Increased traffic: Due to the size of buses alone, traffic would worsen for all residents in the area that commute across El Dorado Pkwy.
5. Decreased value of homes and the community: A bus barn would be an eyesore for residents and visitors. We want to be eye-catching and attractive to invite future residents to increase property values of homes and communities. A bus barn in any city/town is concealed away from general public’s view.
6. Wear and tear on roads: Dickson Ln and French Settlement Rd are roads that already need a lot of maintenance, which they don’t get. Given heavier traffic, and wear and tear buses will have, these roads would need work continuously.

This is terrible for many reasons. This is a residential neighborhood that is going to become a danger to children in many ways, such as heavy amounts of bus fumes and heavy bus traffic on a resedential street.

This sounds like a bad idea in a residential area near the lake.

Most of the property owners in this area moved here to be in the country - away from the noise, traffic and trash of the city. The bus barn will ruin what little peace we still have in this area. Our street - Dickson Ln - is already a short cut for people who don't want to sit at the light at W Eldorado and 720. These drivers speed and throw trash all over. Little Elm Has not improved the street to accommodate this increased traffic, and does not pick up trash, mow the overgrown grass or trim the trees. We are not convinced LE school bus drivers will be good neighbors, either.

I live at 3504 Pinnacle Bay Pt. We already suffer from significantly increased noise/air pollution generated by traffic on Eldorado, due to the toll bridge and development. This is a residential area, not commercial.. Nobody wants it. Our community has already suffered while the City has realized increased tax revenue. I see where the City spends tax dollars, always on that side of the bridge. We can't even get the City to install a residential noise abatement wall along Eldorado, The City needs to quit abusing our property rights.

I would rather see a much needed additional middle school or high school for Little Elm ISD on this land. No Bus Barn!
I oppose this rezone
