This fumes that would accompany this bus barn are not environmentally safe for the lake atmosphere or the neighborhood.

I don't want the bus barn in this location. There is too much traffic as is. Don't need to add all the busses

I do not want a bus barn in this location. We have chosen to live in this location for a reason, and that reason is definitely not seeing a hideous bus barn each time we leave and come home.

Very nice housing in this area with science lake views and shore line. Let's build a bus repair shop and storage garage in there. NOT!!!!!

We purchased our home based on the zoning of the surrounding areas.

The current bus barn looks dumpy. We in the neighborhood don't want the pollution or the extra traffic it will bring.

Pollution, noise, traffic, house values, and an unnecessary rezoning add up to something fishy at the highest levels in little elm... Shame

PLEASE REMEMBER: This issue was TABLED at the last meeting---NOT DECIDED. Just because LEISD has owned the land and wants the bus barn there, it is a separate entity from the Town. This is not a done deal. The Town issues zoning permits and citizens have a voice in these issues if we make ourselves heard. Even the architectural drawing, which was ONLY a sample, preliminary elevation drawing ACCORDING to the LEISD REPRESENTATIVE at the meeting, who asked that the issue be tabled when he saw the unexpected opposition, does not mean it is done. We need to ask why the bus barn needs to be relocated from its present site which is OWNED by DURHAM, THE BUS COMPANY. Has something changed in the way that LEISD contracts with Durham that has apparently, up to now, been parking on its own land and now needs the school district to provide a place? What is planned for Durham's present land if the buses are moved to the land owned by LEISD near our homes? What is changing with respect to development down around where the buses are now? Has that land become too valuable to park buses on given current development? It may well be simple efficiency but shouldn't we have a chance to ask before the buses are moved from an area where they have been located for years, where there are only public buildings, etc., into an area where we try to live peacefully in our homes? We need a lot more information.

This area on Eldorado could be used for additional housing or retail based on location and growth

Bad location for the bus barn with the amount of traffic on all sides of that location as it is. Certainly not desirable to have this in the middle of all the residential development surrounding it.

A bus barn in this location is not a good idea. It will not only decrease the value of the surrounding homes, it is not environmentally friendly to the air quality or the nearby lake. The proposed chain link fence (that's what I heard they will be installing) will be an eye sore and does not meet the standards that the city seems to require for Little Elm neighborhoods, why can they use a different material? Many people that bought a home in this area knew that there may be a school in this location at some point; a school will not decrees the value of your property, but who wants or chooses to live near a bus barn. This is not a good selling point for a home. We take pride in our home and our community that we live in. I hope that the leaders of Little Elm make the right choice and find another location for the bus barn that is better suited than a residential area!!
