We the undersigned herby respectfully request the Chama Valley School Board, name the new Gymnasium located at Escalante High School “BOBBY BINION MEMORIAL GYMNASIUM”. Bobby lived and loved the sport of basketball. He helped many throughout northern New Mexico learn the sport. He went on after his death to raise funds totaling over $200,000; these funds provided college, medical, and student travel scholarships to many individuals. We are family, friends, team mates, scholarship recipients, taxpayers and those who appreciate the work Bobby accomplished in his life and the benefits his scholarship fund provided. Please assist us in bestowing this honor upon Bobby and his memory. To the student athletes, most of whom were students from Escalante High School and all who have signed, we are so grateful for your support.
