I received notice of this petition in favor of Dr. Zucker who has been slandered and defamed, and lost his position of over 35 years as an honored clinician and researcher in the area of childhood gender confusion. This destruction to his career is done by weak and fearful pencil-pushers motivated not by fact and truth, but by prejudice and overreaching political correctness (and by extortion and threats from LGTB “activist” Brownshirts) akin to the book-burners of the Third Reich. I stand firmly behind Dr. Zucker and the right to profess your research findings and to practice your profession in good conscience without reproach, even when the truth contradicts popular notions. Are we still living in the Middle Ages? Do today’s Galileos have to go through the same, ignorance-based censorship and persecution as those in the past? I’m not familiar with Canadian guarantees of freedom, but in the U.S. we have the First Amendment to the Constitution that protects the freedom of speech (a gift from God to all mankind). Teaching and practicing based on the results of research truths, untainted by thugs of any persuasion, censorship and unenlightened political correctness, is one of the highest forms of free speech. Sounds like a great loss for all the children suffering with gender identity disorder. The treatment of Dr. Zucker appears disgraceful.

Political correctness must never take hold over research. It besmirches the institution and all affiliated with it. Whatever happened to peer review and CEO's with courage to stand up to the flavour of the day?
