Open Letter to the Board of Trustees of CAMH

I am NOT signing this. I am commenting to commend the Board of CAMH for taking this action. Ken Zucker is a very powerful man in academia so it is not surprising that so many of his cronies would be so eager to show support for him. What is notable about this letter is how FEW signers actually are trans health care providers. I am writing as the Director of a clinic in the U.S. that employs 25 clinicians who provide mental health services to transgender and gender non conforming children. We thank you for standing up to power to protect these children.

All the people signing this petition actually support the torture of children.

It's very good to see all those pseudoscientists signing this disgusting petition for an even more disgusting "academic" promoting reparative therapy. The complete list could function as a blacklist for what gender specialist NOT to turn to when transitioning. So thank you for that.

I lead the Sexual Therapy Clinic in Lisbon´s Psychiatric Hospital Centre, opened for the last thirty years and giving care to an increasing number of people with gender identity discordance, including a small number of children. Dr. Zucker`s work has always provided us with an inspirational model of scientific soundness and ethical probity and I absolutely repudiate the shabby treatment metted out to such an outstanding researcher and clinician. He should be awarded a national honour by his nation and not be submitted to such disgraceful treatment.
