Zucker and people like him are monsters they did so much harm. i was 14 when i was sent to the clarke they were not interested in helping me only keeping zuckers ideas going at the cost to children like me. i was harmed physically, emotionally by these people in 1983-4

The reasons given for the closure of CAMH gender clinic are still not satisfactory. Implying that any therapy that looks to make kids ok with their sexed bodies as "conversion therapy" is a dangerous precedent and will have a chilling effect on practicing effective treatment for this population.

We are currently experimenting on children. There is no opting out from this reality. Which is why as responsible adults we should be bringing our skills, academic or otherwise, to the decisions we are currently making. Instead of limiting our scope and options. Removing Dr. Zucker is the shortest of short-sighted actions, robbing the children effected of a much needed resource and fact-based advocate.

Children & youth need individual, specific & a whole-body approach to what they are experiencing. People are different & each person deserves specific attentions given to them! This clinic was providing that & not just a 'one size fits all' treatement!
