This is a travesty. I am not an academic nor a medically trained person, however, I can see clearly that this move is one which values public misconception over rationality. The transsexual lobby has long worked against psychotherapy as treatment, and promoted medical intervention as psychological therapy. This is a dangerous path for people in mental anguish.
