The effect of the lack of competition is already clear. The cheapest 2day booking at the international airport is currently £12.99 compared to £28 at the city for the same dates. Drivers are being taken advantage of.

Bowls Car Park provided a convenient, economical alternative to the Airport monopoly car parks, which I used.

It is obscene that The City airport can monopolise and charge extortionate rates for parking -£67 for one day in the long term park and £143 for one day in the short term car park. How can this be justified? Incidentally, I see they are selective about putting on 16 and 19 reviews respectively. Given the footfall, this amount of reviews isn't a true reflection of the service at hand. It is apparent to me that the powers to be who authorise or revoke the alternative parking permits have an agenda.

Closure of the Boal Car Park has basically trebled our company airport car parking bill. It's a strange situation where a 25 mile return taxi fare is cheaper than leaving a car at the airport for a short business trip. The decision is making using the International a more economic option despite the longer commute!

I fully support additional competition for reduced parking fee's at the Belfast City Airport, parking fee's adding £30+ to any short travel is not acceptable.

Closing this car park has added considerably to the costs of our business travel - £26 instead of £8 per day (just been quoted £47 for 29hours) - will the planning authority refund the difference? This decision might price GBBCA out of our travel arrangment preferences - there are cheaper airports to fly from.

Of course there is a need for competitive car parking around the airport. Anyone with an ounce of wit would see that!

Much needed, Why should people have to pay extortionate prices at the airport.
