BMK residents Against Reducing Ski Area in Sunset Lagoon

Are we no longer a community but a compound, where the wish of ONE over-rides the need of others?

This is a water and boating community. Let’s keep it that way - we’re all on board with safety and fun but if you truly have an issue with every little thing that comes with living on the water it’s really easy - MOVE!

Please please don’t ruin BMK. BMK born and raised, fun in the lagoons shaped who I am today. I’d like to raise my son the same way. No more restrictions you already ruined the awesome sport we created “ boat surfing”

Community involvement is essential for there to be a well informed and safe community.

This is the first I’m hearing of this and I live in Bahama Reef. I agree that we should’ve been notified and been made part of the decision making. I would like to hear the reasoning for this. I live right in front of the current turnaround zone. Yes sometimes people start speeding in the no wake zone a little early but other than that I don’t see what the issue is. The loop isn’t that long anyway and shortening it will definitely take away the fun of boating in this lagoon. We need our turning radius to keep things safe. I would again like to know what the issues are so I can make an informed decision and give my own input on this.

No decision like this should be made without community input! And if u impact skiing on that lagoon we will see worse ski problems in the north lagoon when people begging to move their skinning to the north lagoon. None of these kinds of decisions should be made without community input!!!

We need to have a say on our lagoons.

This is a ridiculous decision.

That was supposed to start with -People- not -Please-. What can we do to support changing it back???

Please move to Bel Marin Keys for the water sports. Please don't take that away! Sunset Lagoon was the only lagoon on the south side long enough to waterski in.

Please allow the people who live in BMK be involved in the decision making.

Really should have involved all residence in the choice.

Shame on the Board for the way this has been handled.

Surprised by this decision, and disappointed in the Board.

This is just wrong.

Please do the right thing and revert back to status quo on our Sunset Lagoon Ski pattern.
