WE THE UNDERSIGNED WOULD LIKE TO BRING YOUR ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING PROBLEM:
The price hikes on our electricity are unfair to the residents of the upstate. It has put many residents in a dangerous place financially, in an already very difficult financial time.
We ask that you match Duke Energy’s rates and provide affordable electricity to your residents.
What Blue Ridge Electric is doing is by definition a monopoly. Please stop taking advantage of your community.

im still reading through all the stories people are leaving about their bills and its honestly heartbreaking to see how much this is hurting our neighbors. im putting together a packet of these experiences to go directly to the board members so they cant ignore us anymore.

i honestly cant believe how many people are feeling the same frustration with these bills. the momentum here is showing the electric co-op that we arent going to just sit back and take these hikes quietly.

Mine is up to $350 a month now. I keep the house at 80 degrees during the summer and 68 during the winter. Heatpump/ A/c has been checked and is operating fine. I am gone all day and only do two loads of laundry a week, cook on my gas grill 90% of the time. 5 years ago my bill would never go over$150. Quit killing your customers!
Terrible. Ppl are just barely making ends meet. You should be ashamed. What does your highest paid man make. I heard somewhere over $400,000
This is wrong to take advantage of the people that live under your monopoly.
Fix it along with the grid access fee
I feel we had no say in this price hike, no representation from our leaders.
Bills over $400.00 for 2 people who are barely home is absolutely ridiculous.
Please reconsider the rate hike.

Stop pro rating.. I have swapped to lp water heater led lights etc with little change in price... people with a fixed income who can't just ask for a raise who have paid their dues to society do not deserve this
