I see allot of teens and young children walking across Basswood and also FM156 early monings. They go to Exxon to get drinks and walk back to school. After football games often see 3-4 running across Basswood going to subway. Need street lights and maybe even flashing light at FM156 warning traffic of children.

The school zone speed limit needs to be moved up (north of basswood by cvs ) now that sante fe trails is across from SHS, there's a few high schoolers that cross that intersection.
Also, there should be sidewalks on the corner of bluemound/basswood .

I have lived in Highland Station since 1994 and FM 156 has been in need of improvement since before then. At the very least, FM 156 should have been widened when the improvements were completed from 820 to McLeroy. Why does it take a fatality to get traffic safety moving forward?

These conditions have been going on too long. This should have been addressed when Saginaw HS was built.

We demand TXDOT, City of Fort Worth, and EMISD make immediate safety improvements on Blue Mound Rd from Western Center to Basswood Blvd. This includes street lights, road expansion, crosswalks and sidewalks.
After a recent tragic incident at this location, it is time for City of Fort Worth and TXDOT to move up their plans to improve this dangerous intersection.
Needed to be improved before all the new houses.
