Blue Mound/Basswood Safety Improvements

Something has to be done!!

I drive a school bus for emisd. This road is a very unsafe road. There are always kids trying to cross and some cars don't pay attention. There are definitely a necessities to make this road safer.

These changes are long overdue and the lives of two children had to ruined for it to happen.

City of Saginaw, Blue Mound and Fort Worth get your act together. This is your fault this angel did not have a safe place to walk home from after a football game. Children should not have to walk in fields before and after school. In the meantime, maybe we can bus them safely across this road.

Please make this area safer for our children.

We need change to protect our kids

Please please do something before another life is lost. I have lived in Blue Mound for 29 years and I have seen way to many unnecessary accidents.

Please speed this process

Such a terrible tragedy, it's a shame the safety of these children hasn't been better handled.

The safety of our school children should be a core concern of any society that claims virtue as a foundational principle. The oversight that allowed this child to lose his life is unacceptable. Further negligence will place the responsibility squarely on those who can act but choose otherwise.

I live in the community behind the school. I agree that the cities need to fix this immeditaley since i see several kids that maybe have parents whom work late evenings or even nights or further most maybe not have vehicles and most of the kids walk home whom i see cross the streets some scraed and wait until the roads are clear or maybe waiting for the next fasting car passes by. This is very dangerous for our kids whom we say we want safe walking home or to school. Please fix our streets. Yours truly, Marivel Harris

This area is more than overdue for improvements. This is a dangerous roadway for children to walk.

I've been saying this for years! I really think they should build a bridge crosswalk to keep our children safe. Traffic is a nightmare and it makes me sick when I see kids running across the street.

Please add crosswalks, lights and guards to protect our kids on hwy 156 from western center to Bailey Boswell rd.

They should have more sidewalks. Traffic lights and speed zones. And street lights.

Let's do something about this before someone else has to loose a loved one

Safety of our students should be our highest priority
