Unless you have something to hide, an agenda you know won’t be popular, you’ll change the time so working parents who want to be involved in their children’s education and well being can attend. To do anything else is beyond questionable and wrong.

Input from the public is extremely important in the discussions surrounding our kids education. I look forward to embracing these conversations this year as I sit on the Education Administration and K-12 Subcommittee in the House of a representatives. Please adjust the meeting to 6:30pm so more parent input can be heard. Sincerely the father of 2 local public school kids.

Parents need the opportunity to attend these meetings, it is about the importance of their children. If it is at 5PM, these working parents have a very difficult time attending. Please consider a 6:30PM time so parents can be present and aware of what’s happening in their children’s schools.

I am asking for School Board meetings to be at 6:30 pm on a routine schedule. Parents that work are unable to attend the 5:00 pm meetings , how then can you hear the voice of the people that have elected you? We love our kids and our community and it is our responsibility to stand up for them.

The start should allow working parents to attend meetings at 6:30pm. The agenda for each meeting should be published and sent to parents at least a week ahead of time to allow time for people to plan attendance.

Parents face many challenges in raising their children and need to be able able to attend these meetings. It’s not reasonable for working parent to attend a 5:00 board meeting. These meetings need to be moved to 6:30pm. It takes a village to raise a child and the voices of their parents need to be heard.

This will allow for more families to be at the meeting.
Many people do not get off of work and doing the kid pickups n errands.
Also. With the ever growing population in the county and city, the traffic is definitely an issue that needs to be considered.
