Oppose the development, due to overwhelmingly heavy traffic on and off Siesta Key.

Development in this town needs to be addressed in the larger picture. Greed is running this town.

Traffic is terrible in season. Backed all the way from Midnight Pass to 41 and then around the corner if you are headed south on 41. Adding condos to the mix will only make for a worse situation in driving.

This project is in violation to the existing rules governing the density and height.

It's way too much! We can't handle the additional traffic!

As a homeowner on Siesta Key I am very concerned about increased traffic congestion and the impact of this development on area residents.. If this development goes forward the zoning should not be changed to allow for any increases in height, density etc. ,no retail!

No further development needed. Plenty of stores to shop at and traffic is tough as it is.

I am very opposed to the Promenade development. Couldn't the Bendersons give something back to the community that it really needs..... a park and ride shuttle to the beach. It would be a great gift to our city. Don't you have enough money? Common sense says that this is a nightmare location for more development of the caliber you are proposing. Please save our city. You are doing an awesome job of rejuvinating older properties that needed updating. We don't need more commercial, especially grocery stores where we already have many. You will harm the vendors close by. We need some mass transit structure so more people can enjoy the beach without clogging the roads to a standstill. Please listen. Everyone is against this. How can your conscious rest?

I do. It wish this to continue as it is planned. Too much traffic at the 41 intersection already. An interesection I have to travers everyday. Also too many more people will make it that much harder for people to safely leave the island in an emergency

If you live on the key it takes forever to get off the key. This development is a safety issue! We already know what happens at 41 and Stickney Pt during high season. MASSIVE traffic jams!!!!!

TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC....Unbelievable. I anyone who votes for this should live on the island. You can't move during high season.

Benderson’s developments have ruined our “small town” Sarasota feel along with an overly congested I-75 at University Parkway. Let’s keep an already crowded Stickney/Siesta Key the way it is.

This project seems to be at odds with the gentle nature of our lovely Siesta Key, in that it adds nothing of value to those of us who live here( I do own property on Siesta Key). I do not ever remember a single person who has spoken to me, suggesting that what we need is more retail space and more traffic. This is Siesta Key and not Miami. We truly have one of the last pieces of paradise why spoil that by making a few people rich while the rest of us lose a way of life. I 'totally do not agree'. I quote the Eagles 'The Last Resort' 'They call it paradise I don't know why You call someplace paradise Kiss it goodbye'

Wrong place for this development. Why would we make an overburdened intersection worse? Sensible planning please.

Building a project of this size on this corner (stickney and 41) is like throwing fuel on the fire of congestion, crowds way to big already for our tiny island, there should be a county park on the whole 23 acres with parking and trollies to the beach, maybe a small food truck area, do the right thing for once Sarasota County, buy the corner and make it an incredible entrance to Siesta Key!

In the words of our local radio talk-show host, “Are you NUTS?” Anyone who lives near US 41 and Stickney Point Rd. can tell you how congested the traffic already is in this area, the commissioners should be trying to solve the current mess, not adding to it.

“Promenade", (defined as "Leisurely Walk"), clearly describes how traffic will move on Sarasota's main North-South thoroughfare (US 41) if our commissioners approve this unreasonable rezoning. As we locals know, Siesta Key and Stickney Point already become a “Parking Lot” for many months during season. If this request is approved, US 41 will become a “Parking Lot” as well.

There is nothing wrong with *some* continued development. But this community is in danger of killing the goose that laid the golden egg if it continues the massive and dense development we have seen since we bought on Siesta Key in 2015.
